Evil Cannot Bear
June 29, 2011
He came, this demon from the depths
And sat astride my chest,
A force of darkness magnified
Allowing me no rest.
His blackened hands around my throat,
The life-force fading fast,
I gasped for air, I could not breath
Nor could much longer last.
A strength within my soul arose
That now he meant to claim
I called to one within me close,
I spoke the secret name.
His hands released, he quickly fled
For evil cannot bear,
Retreating to the land of dead
The power that answers prayer.
